My Bio

I finally finished one, a sweet 71 CB750, now its time to find a new project image

I started a 69 CL350 when I was 19 (1985, many moons ago) We didn't have ebay and the internet back then, so the project was abandoned for lack of parts. I had a 79 DOHC ( Gasp) a couple years later that I started to chop and never finished. Now i have a low down and nasty 750.

I did everything, except the frame and tank welding and turning the titanium foot pegs, myself., including all the fab and fitting.

The frame is chopped stock, stretched 2" in the downtubes, 2" in the sleeved backbone, and 4" in the tail section, it was also lowered 4". Its got about a 36 degree rake. The forks are 81-CB750 Custom. It rolls on a 140/90 x 16 rear wheel laced and trued by me, with a polished stock cb750 front.. The oilbag, headlight mount, forwards, sissybar, chain gaurd, kickstand, mirror mount and sprung (yes it is sprung) seat, are handmade. The front fender is cut down stock, sorta, and the rear is a re-arched trailer fender.
The gas tank is of unknown Japanese manufacture, with the tunnel modified, and all the seams rolled over. I also had to move petcock, and fill in the fuel gauge hole. The kicker is a real steel knuckleduster welded to the stock arm. Hand controls are hand polished stock, except the Emgo throttle. All the wiring is run through the dragbars and dogbone risers. Lights are cheapo chrome out of the catalogue, except the swapmeet headlight.. pipes are cut down header pipes from a Hindle 4-1 setup wrapped and painted..

19 months and $1900 (inc inspection).

I'm pretty proud of the POS
